Living in a world of 8 billion people, today's youth face climate disruption, threats to reproductive rights, and overconsumption of resources, among many other challenges. What are their biggest concerns? What obstacles stand in their way? The Center for Biological Diversity and Transition Earth held a webinar to hear directly from young activists across the globe about the threats they face and the solutions they're working on. Panelists will explore the links between human health, sustainable livelihoods, resource consumption, and environmental protection. They'll also discuss how supporting sexual health, reproductive rights and gender equity enables young people to make life choices and gain better opportunities. Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are distinctive in that they have provided exemplary leadership throughout a significant portion of their professional lives and become known as role models as a result of their exceptional accomplishments in increasing access to family planning information, services, and/or supplies. DKT President Chris Purdy will confer the inaugural Phil Harvey SRHR Innovation Award recognizing emerging sexual and reproductive health and rights leaders to explore bold, sex-positive, and rights-based approaches that leverage the private sector to advance access to information, products, and services that support individuals to enjoy healthy and fulfilling sexual lives. ICFP2022 Plenary—Youth Leaders Make Bold Moves: Young People Innovate, Collaborate & Accelerate / De l'audace des jeunes leaders : Les jeunes innovent, collaborent, accélèrent Watch in French: / Regardez en français : https://youtu.be/tm8Bs_Q2FvQ This plenary will create a space where young people take the driver's seat, sharing stories and lessons learned in innovation and collaboration in Adolescents and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (AYSRHR), as they accelerate towards the future they want. Throughout this plenary, youth will invite the ICFP community to share their dream and vision for AYSRHR. Utilizing a storytelling lens, young people will share barriers, lessons learned, innovation, and collaboration for several areas of AYSRHR. The stories will intertwine with each other highlighting the intersectional nature and complex challenges of AYSRHR work. Building on the barriers, challenges, and successes discussed by youth, the plenary will then focus on looking forward, outlining how we want to achieve our AYSRHR vision through a Youth-Led AYSRHR Global Roadmap for Action. Designed and led by youth in collaboration with over 40 youth-led organizations, the Youth-Led AYSRHR Global Roadmap for Action brings together youth voices, setting out 2030 goals, priorities, and recommended actions, showing unity in the expression of young peoples' SRHR needs and values across the world. The plenary will close with a key call to action for youth, policy makers, and partners. IYAFP and the 120 Under 40: The New Generation of Family Planning Leaders program, with the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health and Bayer AG, have assembled a group of youth-led organizations to spearhead the creation of a Youth-Led AYSRHR Global Roadmap for Action dedicated to achieving the full realization of SRHRJ for all young people, everywhere. This roadmap of action, which will be presented to the global community at the International Conference for Family Planning (ICFP) 2022 in Pattaya City Thailand, is designed and led by youth in collaboration with over 40 youth-led organizations at the helm. https://icfp2022.org/ 17 November 2022, 08:30 - 10:00( ICT PEACH Plenary Hall
